Stevie Wonder Tells All White Audience: Blacks are the original people, you all have some black in you! [VIDEO]
Stevie Wonder recently shocked a few of his white fans. The legendary artist was performing at London’s ‘British Summer Time Festival,’ when he discussed the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality. As he narrated through songs from his 1976 album, “Songs In The Key of Life,” Stevie, he pointed out some of the issues that society currently faces. He said,
Choose love over hate. Right over wrong. Kind over meanness, which brings me to another point. Yes, all life does matter…
He continues,
But the reason that I say BLACK LIVES matter is because we are the original people of this world. So in essence, everybody in here, really, you got some Black in you. You’ve all got some soul in you, so stop denying your culture
Stevie ended his thoughts with:
And for those of you who don’t agree with me, I love you but I don’t give a [pause]
