Gabby Douglas has come under fire for not putting her hand over her heart during the national anthem after the U.S. women’s gymnastics team captured the gold at the Olympics. During the “The Star-Spangled Banner”, Gabby’s team mates placed their hands over their hearts, while she kept her hands to her side. There was some outrage on Twitter about this.

To me she looks sad and tired. Probably thinking about not being able to compete in the all arounds on Thursday.

Gabby is the reigning Olympic allaround champion….she has been UNDERwhelmed since the team qualifiers..The judges/coaches/media jipped her out of the chance that would allow her to defend her GOLD medal!!! Gabby has been shady since the games began. My opinon she is not the best on the team now and is not getting that shine any more.

She wasn’t dragged by anyone I know.I have no problem with what she did.Maybe it was her way of a private protest in light of the injustices being perpetrated against blacks in America right now.

She’s not the first athlete who didn’t place her hand over her heart during the National Anthem. She admitted that she always stands at attention, so that’s her way of honoring the US, but let’s be clear…with all that’s been going on lately do you blame her?
