EXCLUSIVE: Singer Tank & Fiance Turned Down E! Reality Show: He wanted more money!
Tank & Fiance Turned Down Reality Show
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Tank and his fiance were almost on a new popular E! reality show. Sources tell us that the singer and Zena Foster were initially cast on E!’s The Platinum Life. The show is currently airing and follows the lives of wives and girlfriends of recording artists (rappers, singers, etc.). Insiders tell us that both Zena and Tank were interested in doing the show and were actually a part of the pilot presented to the network. Sources tell us,
While they were filming the pilot, Zena had some on camera and off camera conflict with the cast.
And while drama is preferred in the reality TV arena, it wasn’t enough to seal the deal. Sources tell us that Tank ultimately wanted more money.
Husbands and boyfriends are technically on the show in a supporting role, so they don’t get compensated as much. They only get paid a fee and the women (who are really the cast) are paid per episode.
The source continues,
Tank felt like he was worth more money than he was offered. The network wouldn’t budge so they cast the show without them.
The series cast inclues: Crystal Smith, wife of singer, songwriter, producer and actor Ne-Yo; La’Myia Good, married to songwriter and producer Eric Bellinger; Shantel Jackson, in a relationship with
rapper, singer, songwriter and producer Nelly; rapper and songwriter Lola Monroe, in a relationship with rapper, songwriter and producer King Los; Asiah Azante, married to recording artist, songwriter and producer Kid Ink; Nazanin Mandi, engaged to singer, songwriter and producer Miguel; and newly single recording artist Alycia Bellamy.
Despite not being cast on ‘The Platinum Life’, our guess is Zena and Tank are still considering reality TV.
