Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone To Premiere On CBS All Access

Jordan Peele’s revamp of Twilight Zone has landed on CBS All Access. Peele, along with Simon Kinberg and Marco Ramirez will serve as executive producers for the premiere episode. Peele stated about the upcoming series,

Too many times this year it’s felt we were living in a twilight zone, and I can’t think of a better moment to reintroduce it to modern audiences.

The series has been revived twice; in 1986, airing over one hundred episodes on CBS; and again in 2002 by UPN starring Forest Whitaker, airing 43 episodes. “Twilight Zone: The Movie” premiered in 1983, featuring segments directed by John Landis (“Coming To America,” Michael Jackson: Thriller”), George Miller (“Mad Max,” “Happy Feet”) and Steven Spielberg (“E.T.”, “The Color Purple”).

Jordan Peele is best known for starring in the Comedy Central sketch series Key & Peele and for his five seasons as a cast member on Mad TV. In 2014, he also had a recurring role in the first season of the FX anthology series Fargo. His directorial debut, the horror film “Get Out,” was released on February 27, 2017 to critical acclaim.

In addition to Twilight Zone, Peele and his company Monkeypaw Productions is producing Nazi hunters series, The Hunt, collaborating with Spike Lee on “Black Klansman” starring John David Washington of the hit HBO series Ballers and the upcoming series Lovecraft Country with Underground executive producer and writer Misha Green.

No word on an official premiere date.
