Common & YG Visit LA Prison
Common is using his star power to give back. This week, the rapper, actor and activist brought a few people with him, including rapper YG, to visit a state prison in Los Angeles. Sharing his experience on social media, he writes:
Yesterday, I brought a group of 30+ people out to Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall and California State Prison, Los Angeles County for a special holiday visit to spread love, hope and light to the boys, girls and men inside. I felt it was important to visit over the holidays to bring some happiness and joy to our brothers and sisters inside prison. While the holiday season is an amazing time for most of us, it’s one of the toughest and most depressing parts of the year for people inside. I’m #blessed to have a platform to help others.
