Gary Owen Tells Mo’Nique To Stop Slandering Will Packer
Gary Owen has a message for Mo’Nique – stop slandering his friend, Will Packer’s name. On Monday, the comedian posted a video on social media, calling out his fellow comedian over her remarks about producer Will Packer. In the clip Owen says about Mo’Nique,
She went too far, when she started blaming Will Packer. That’s my friend. That’s my homeboy. Will Packer has done more for black actors and actresses than just about anybody in the last ten years. I mean he is basically showing Hollywood, that black movies have a mainstream market.

Gary’s comments seem to be in response to a social media post from Mo’Nique. In the post, Mo’Nique shares an email exchange between her husband/manager and Packer. We’re told the emails took place while she was filming ‘Almost Christmas’.
Sheesh.

You think? You can’t bring a pitbull to compete with prize poodels in Hollywood. I mean does Mo not have any black girlfriends in Hollywood that she can talk to? All these successful black female actresses in Hollywood and Mo has her bafoon of a husband representing her.
Nah, I think buddy done dicmatized Monique so bad that she has no one at all in her corner. I don’t even think she has friends anymore. She was better off fat and alone…this man has ruined her life. Then she’s over here calling him daddy and telling him it’s ok to fawk other bitches…what?!
While the Monique saga is getting on my damn nerves, Imma ask yet another white man weighing in on Black issues to sit his ass down and be quiet. Monique is annoying, but this white man is on my last nerve popping off about how much somebody did for Black ppl. Boy, sit down.
Damn, slow day for me to read all those emails, lol. Both emails (from Will Packer & Sidney) were “pitiful.” Everyone wants to be “right” and no one will admit their “wrong.” IMO JB Smoove was the “scene stealer” in the movie Almost Christmas, lol.
There are issues on both sides. Monique’s husband is too close to the situation. If she had anyone else as her manager, Will would not have said half the things he said. Families should NOT represent their family members. Pay someone to do that for you. Makes life much easier. The tit-for-tat is a bit much between the two of them. I agree, though with Will, that you have to look at yourself when your career isn’t where you want it to be. It could be that she is that cause of it all. You can’t fall out with everybody, then wonder why nobody wants to work with you. It’s all too much. I am so sick of Monique’s “issues” with everyone except herself and her husband. Get it ttogether folks, or you’ll be living on what you have…there won’t be any other gigs for you! Too hard to work with!
