Katt Williams Claims Radio Personality Wanda Smith’s Husband Pulled A Gun On Him
Katt Williams stopped by popular Atlanta radio station, V-103 on Friday, and made headlines after making jaw-dropping jokes about radio host, Wanda Smith-Sellers. The interview, which was recorded, showed Williams and Smith taking jabs at each other, but it seems like Williams comments hit a little too close to home. After Smith made a comment about Williams’ hair, the comedian then began to speak in reference to the radio personality’s career, weight, and hair. Before Smith could have transferred the blame of the video going viral on the radio’s digital department, her husband tried to make amends to the comments made about his wife, over the weekend.
According to reports, on Saturday, while at the Atlanta Comedy Theater, Williams alerted an off-duty Gwinnett County detective, who was working security, that a man pulled a gun on him. The man is reported to be Smith’s husband, LaMorris Sellers. Police reports state after the gun was pulled, Williams took off running to the Food Depot next door to the theater. Surveillance cameras show Williams indeed running into the store and Sellers running after him, but later returning to the club. Sellers even spoke to police about the incident. He claims he was indeed carrying a firearm, but he never pointed it at Williams.
Sellers claims while chasing Williams, the firearm dropped from his waistband and he bent over to pick it up, but affirms he never pointed it at him. In addition to the surveillance capturing Sellers going into the store, he does not show him carrying a weapon. Since the incident has occurred, the Gwinnett County police have launched an investigation and is requesting anyone with information to come forward. They’re also offering a $2,000 reward if any information leads to an arrest.
On Monday, Smith went on air to elaborate on the situation and speak about how she felt being grilled by Williams. She confessed she felt attacked and that she never had any intentions on “going there with him,” and claims she begged him to come on the show. Despite the fact of her being extremely excited for Williams to be on the show, she ultimately felt attacked.
