Serena & Venus Williams Father Sues 38-Year-Old Ex-Wife For Taking Advantage Of Him While He’s Barely Able To Speak
Richard Williams, the father to tennis superstars Serena and Venus Williams, has filed court documents against his ex-wife Lakeisha, accusing her of taking advantage of his current physical state to forge his signature on various mortgage documents. Due to the 76-year-old father suffering from a series of strokes, leaving him hardly able to communicate verbally, he claims Lakeisha, 38, forged his signature to transfer the home they resided in to her name.
According to documents, Richard says his ex-wife transferred the deed for one his homes in Palm Beach, Florida to herself without asking, and took out a $152,000 mortgage using his forged signature. Richard validated his claims by presenting examples of his signature from 2002 to the 2017 document(s).
After suffering two strokes, Richard has been left to rely on his son, Chavoita LeSane, 45, who also has power of attorney over his father. LeSane serves as Richard’s translator due to his father suffering from a neurological condition, limiting his speech and the affects his mouth.
After seven years of marriage, Lakeisha and Richard filed for divorce in 2017. According to reports, they share a six-year-old son named Dylan.
