Rihanna Sues Father For Attempting To Use Her Name To Book Concerts & Pose As Her Agent
Rihanna has filed a lawsuit against her own father, Ronald Fenty. The suit comes by way of Ronald allegedly attempting to utilize Rihanna’s household name to book tour/concerts in Latin America and in the U.S.
According to reports, Ronald and his business partner Moses Perkins launched their own entertainment company called Fenty Entertainment and have been petitioning business posing as agents of the singer. Riri has denied her involvement with the bookings, which included a $15 million tour throughout Latin America and two concerts: one at Staples Center in Los Angeles and another at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for $400,000.
According to the suit,
Although Mr. Fenty is Rihanna’s father, he does not have, and never has had, authority to act on Rihanna’s behalf.
Ronald reportedly ran the prospective business deals by her label, Roc Nation, but she claims no one at the label was made cognizant of what Ronald’s business ventures. Rihanna says she’s sent multiple cease and desist letters, but they’ve apparently went ignored.
The beauty mogul has now been forced to file a lawsuit, desiring an injunction, in addition to unspecified damages.
