Offset Offers Cardi B An Apology On Revealing “Father Of 4” Track
Offset’s debut solo album, Father Of 4, just dropped and fans are already posting some of the standout lyrics all over social media. One of the tracks that’s getting the most attention is “Don’t Leave Me,” in which the Migos rapper offers a heartfelt apology to wife Cardi B following their prior breakup due to his infidelity.
Hip-hop couple Cardi B and Offset had a very public breakup late last year when it was discovered he was unfaithful to his wife. The couple remained estranged for a bit, but are currently back together, which is why Offset’s new song “Don’t Leave Me” is giving many fans all the feels.
The song opens with Offset’s previous December 2018 Instagram apology to his Grammy Award-winning wife, saying:
“And I apologize, you know what I’m sayin’? Breaking your heart, breaking our promise, breaking God’s promise, and being a, a, selfish and messed up husband, you know what I’m sayin’? I’m tryn- I’m tryna be a better person. I wanna get this off…”
He continues to admit to wrongdoing and wanting to be back with his wife:
“I’m sorry, let me come on home (Come home)/She said “Put down the styrofoam. I love your attitude, moody/I love when you call a n***a stupid/I love that you’re ratchet not boujee. Number one, it’s a loyalty code (Number one)/Temptation, had the devil in my soul (Temptation)/I wanna be with you when we old (When we old.) I’m a genie and I’m grantin’ wishes (Genie)/Only for the Mrs. (Mrs.)”
