J. Cole Releases New Video for “MIDDLE CHILD” [Video]
In January, J. Cole dropped a new single entitled, “Middle Child,” a new record that could be featured on the North Carolina native’s upcoming Dreamville Records compilation Revenge of The Dreamers III.
On Monday, Cole, 34, released his latest visual for his first single, “Middle Child,” from his upcoming sixth studio album. In the clip, directed by rapper King Mez, Cole stands in front of an audience on a red carpet at an awards show before the backdrop changes to dead bodies lying under sheets with dirty shoes. He then takes over a log cabin with heads of “Your Favorite Rapper” adorning the walls and a plaque that reads:
“This Could Be You.”
The Grammy nominated rapper’s new video is full of memorable scenes, including one were Cole and his crew go mudding in a Bentley Bentayga SUV. In another, he chills in a cabin with the heads of three rappers mounted above the fireplace. But nothing tops the final scene which speaks to the white consumption of black culture.

As reported in early February, Cole took to social media to express his thought on never winning a Grammy award. Cole says,
‘My heart is at ease knowing that what was meant for me will never miss me, and that what misses me was never meant for me.’
