Beyonce’s Deal With Netflix Is Worth $60 Million, Singer To Release 2 More Projects On Streaming Service
Beyonce’s “Homecoming” documentary was certainly one for the history books. And fortunately for the Beyhive, we’ll be seeing more of the Formation singer on the popular streaming service as she signed a $60 million contract, according to reports. The agreement is said to be good for a total of three projects, including “Homecoming” that premiered Wednesday.
That film featured a behind-the-scenes look of Beyonce and her team’s preparation for her Coachella performance that took place in April 2018. She also opened up about the struggle she had returning to the stage after delivering twins via an emergency C-Section. The documentary alone is worth about $20 million. It hasn’t been reported what the other 2 projects will be yet.
It was also noted that one insider from Netflix said the $60 million number isn’t true.
Netflix wasn’t the only one eyeing the Homecoming documentary. HBO was also a contender. That network aired Beyonce’s “Lemonade” visual album in 2016, her “On The Run Tour” concert in 2014 and “Life Is But A Dream”, her documentary with her husband Jay-Z in 2013.

Still, Beyonce signed on the dotted line with Netflix after it offered more money for the “Homecoming” project.
Fans also got an extra surprise and Beyonce released a 40-song album to go along with the Coachella performance and the documentary. The album also includes two additional songs that Beyonce didn’t perform at the festival but is included in the documentary: her rendition of “Before I Let Go”, a cover from Frankie Beverly & Maze and “I Been On” a song that debuted on Sound Cloud in 2013.
