“Star” – Petition Launched To Bring Show Back
Fans of “Star” have launched a petition in hopes of having the show return to the small screen. As previously reported, Fox pulled the plug on the Empire spin-off which starred Jude Demorest, Brittany O’Grady and Ryan Destiny, after three series.
Over the weekend, a petition was launched, asking for the show to be picked up by another streaming service or network. The description reads,
Star was a show that premiered in 2016 a sister Show to Empire. It’s about a girl group rising to fame. The show currently has 3.5 million Weekly fans, sadly on May 10, 2019 the show was cut short by Fox. Just like Lucifer, the story WASN’T OVER and we want justice. Let’s bring it back. Let either Hulu, Netflix, or Disney pick it up. Other channels should pick it up if necessary.
The musical drama live-action series was created by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy and revolved around three talented young singers who navigate the music business on their road to success.
