Phaedra Parks Admits Long-Distance Relationship W/ Boyfriend Medina Islam Is “Hard”, Actor Hasn’t Met Her Sons Yet: “We’re Taking It Slow”

Phaedra Parks (45)  is gushing over here new boyfriend, Medina Islam (36). Over the weekend, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star publicly showed her love for the actor, sharing a birthday post.

The pair met on a dating app and have been dating for 6 months. She says she  “knew him from around town in Atlanta.” Adding,

“You know, he used to be on a show here so we have a lot of mutual friends. One of my best friends is one of his best friends as well.”

She says of Medina,

“He’s a really good guy. He’s very calming and soothing and mild-mannered. I always dealt with the bad boys, and he’s very opposite from any guy I’ve ever dated. So that’s refreshing.”

Phaedra currently lives in Atlanta, while Medina resides in Los Angeles. She says of their long-distance relationship:

“It’s hard doing the long distance, especially bi-costal because L.A. is a super long flight, outside of just the time difference. But we’ve been making it work! He’s an actor so he’s [in] New York quite a bit, and then he comes to Atlanta, and I get to L.A. to see him as well.”

Medina hasn’t met her two sons with ex-husband Apollo Nida: Ayden, 9, and Dylan, 6.

“He hasn’t met my kids yet. We’re just taking it slow with that.”

According to reports, the couple will appear on an upcoming season of Marriage Bootcamp. Allegedly, one of their issues that they discuss on the show is managing their long-distance relationship and Phaedra reportedly wanting to move to LA.

Prior to dating Phaedra, Medina dated Claudia Jordan, who was also appeared on RHOA at the same time as Phaedra.
