Issa Rae Launches RAEDIO Record Label With Atlantic Records

Is “Insecure” star Issa Rae finally putting her mirror freestyle skills to use? The show is known for inserting some of the hottest up and coming music artists’ songs into the HBO hit, and now Issa’s taking that job a little more seriously.

The 34-year-old recently announced that she, along with veteran record label Atlantic Records, has launched her own label – RAEDIO Records. According to RAEDIO’s official Instagram page, the company is described as:

“…’an audio everywhere company’ founded by actress and writer @IssaRae. Raedio signs artists and provides music supervision services.”

Issa also introduced her first artist, singer/rapper TeaMarrr. Her caption read:

“@issarae Beyond excited to present the first amazingly talented artist from my new label RAEDIO, TeaMarrr (@imaliltcup)! Check out her song and video, “Kinda Love” on all streaming platforms now! (@theraedio)”

TeaMarr’s “Kinda Love” music video features a cameo from boss lady Issa Rae, and is directed by current leaders of R&B – singers Ari Lennox and Lucky Daye.
