Warriors Star Steph Curry Undergoes Surgery, Will Be Out For 3 Months
Warriors have released an update on former NBA MVP, Steph Curry’s. He suffered a hand injury during a Wednesday (Oct. 30) night game after a hard fall against the Phoenix Suns. In their statement released on Friday (Nov. 1st), the Warriors revealed Curry underwent surgery on his broken left hand/second metacarpal and may miss at least 3 months.

As previously reported, Curry had a CT scan on his broken hand prior to being seen by a specialist who recommend having his sidelining surgery. According to reports, the Warriors star player was treated at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles by Dr. Steven Shin.

Before going under the knife on Friday, Curry took to social media to give a quick update on his condition. In the photo, the former NBA MVP looked seemingly in good spirits while giving a huge smile with his injured hand wrapped. He thanks everyone for their support writing,
“Appreciate all the love, texts, support, all that.”

This latest injury sets the Warriors back as the team is already without star shooter Klay Thompson, who is recovering from an ACL knee Injury. Warriors forward, Draymond Green spoke on the team’s multiple injuries to their star players. He says,
It’s hard. Makes things even harder. But just got to keep playing and trying to figure it out. I just wish we got one practice with our team. One practice. We didn’t even get one practice. Not a single one.”
As of now, the Warriors will have to play 45 games over the next three months without their star point guard. If all goes as planned, Curry should return around the NBA All-Star break in February.
