Donald Trump May Return To Reality TV After Presidency, In Talks Of Creating “The Apprentice: White House”
Donald Trump is planning his next move for his days after President. While he’s still currently a candidate for the 2020 election, according to reports, he’s been having conversations with the creator of The Apprentice, Mark Burnett, about their next show together.
With the working title The Apprentice: White House, Burnett, and Trump are reportedly discussing the new series that will be produced once Trump is no longer President. The show will focus on all things politics and use Trump’s time in the White House as a backdrop.
An insider said,
“There have been several discussions between Burnett and Trump about The Apprentice: White House. It is something Burnett thinks could be a money-spinner and Trump is very keen on doing.”
A second source added,
“They actually talked about an Apprentice: White House… as far as I know, the discussion did not go far.”
He’s reportedly been talking about missing his days in The Apprentice board room.
Trump was the host of NBC’s The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice before he took the oath as President. Arnold Schwarzenneger stepped in after for a short stint. Now, it looks like Trump wants to take the reins again.
Interestingly enough, Burnett once denounced Trump and called out the
“hatred, division, and misogyny that has been a very unfortunate part of his campaign.”
Still, after Trump became President, he and Burnett were able to settle their differences. One source even said that Burnett brags about his friendship with him.
“Mark would say ‘My relationship with the president is incredibly strong. I’m the most powerful person in Hollywood because of it. I could wipe the floor because of it.’ Mark has no shame.”
