Idris Elba To Star In All-Black Western “The Harder They Fall” From Producer Jay Z
Netflix is the home of many well-know creatives’ upcoming projects, and this one just earned a Golden Globe winner as its star. Netflix just officially announced that “The Harder They Fall,” Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter‘s next production credit, will star British actor, Idris Elba.

Idris Elba
As we previously reported, Idris Elba will star alongside actor Jonathan Majors – star of “The Last Black Man in San Francisco.” The film is a Black Western story in which Idris’ character kills Jonathan Love’s character’s parents. The story will chronicle the murderer’s release from prison.
The music in “The Harder They Fall” will parallel the sounds of “The Great Gastby,” thanks to producer/director Jeymes Samuel. Jeymes worked with Jay-Z for “The Great Gatsby’s” soundtrack in 2013. Other producers include James Lassiter and Lawrence Bender, while Jeymes Samuel and Boaz Yakin penned the script.
