John Singleton’s Daughter Cleopatra Granted Monthly Allowance Of Nearly $3,000 & A Semester To Study Abroad

Late film director John Singleton’s daughter Cleopatra Singleton has been officially granted a monthly allowance of $2, 778 following her request in September, according to reports. A judge also green-lighted a one-time payment of $4,150 for Cleopatra Singleton to study abroad.

Reportedly, Cleopatra Singleton justified her request earlier this year by stating that her father provided for her financially before he shockingly passed away in April.

It was previously reported that John Singleton’s estate is worth roughly $35 million, but that still has yet to be allotted between Cleopatra and John Singleton’s other six children. His estate also went up half a million after his film company, New Deal Productions was granted $$515,472  from an agreement with Sony over the success of John’s 2001 hit Baby Boy. 

Meanwhile, his mother, Sheila Ward, who was John’s business manager has been managing his estate.

Shortly after John died, Sheila Ward and Cleopatra reportedly had issues as Cleopatra said Sheila Ward was trying to control all of John’s assets and push out his seven kids. Interestingly enough, reports also said Sheila Ward was the one who had John’s will and had plans on filing it with the probate court to determine who would get what.

John passed away in April after suffering a massive stroke. He was 51-years-old and was a pillar in the film industry after being the brains behind films like Poetic Justice, 8 Mile, and Shaft.
