Cardi B Turns Heads During Court Appearance In Black, Feathery Coat [VIDEO]
Rapper Cardi B (real name Belcalis Almánzar), 27, turned heads as she arrived for her court hearing in New York on Tuesday (Dec. 10). The Grammy-Award winning rapper headed to court for a nightclub assault case, and was dressed to impress in a Marc Jacobs black-feathered coat. Cardi paired her black coat with a thin black tie and a white button-down. She completed her look with a pair of Christian Louboutin stilettos.

Cardi’s dramatic black coat was seen trailing behind the “Press,” rapper as she walked through the Queens Criminal Court lobby and metal detectors.

Cardi’s attorney, Nicholas Ramcharitar told reporters on Tuesday (Dec. 10),
“Seemingly, Cardi was not upset at all the cameras and seemed quite eager to get in and out of the building as quickly as possible. She was dressed in all-black with a black ‘robe’ with a train about 6-feet long made of black feathers.”
As reported, Cardi was arraigned on several counts including two felony charges of attempted assault. The rapper and alleged co-defendants Tawana Jackson-Morel and Jeffrey Bush were previously charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly throwing glass bottles at two bartenders inside the club.
Cardi is accused of allegedly ordering eight people, including Bush and Jackson-Morel, to assault the two women amid speculation that they were having a relationship with Cardi B’s husband, rapper Offset.

Earlier this year, Cardi turned down a no-jail plea bargain. Prosecutors presented the case in front of a grand jury, which upgraded the top charges against Cardi B and the others to felonies.
Nicholas Ramcharitar added Tuesday (Dec. 10) that the case could go to trial as the Queens District Attorney’s Office is big on
“making an example out of her.”
