Jamie Foxx’s Parents Live With Him After Divorcing 25 Years Ago: What’s Crazy Is That Dad Still Dates!
Jamie Foxx is a chip off the old block! He may have been raised by his adoptive parents, but it appears that he may have gotten his sense of humor straight from his biological parents, Darell and Louise Dixon. The “Just Mercy” actor recently revealed that both of his parents live with him in his Los Angeles home. But, there’s a catch: they’re divorced!

Jamie Foxx told Graham Norton of “The Graham Norton Show” that he and his father reconnected nearly two decades ago when he was released from prison, and his mother was next to join the household:
“They’ve been divorced for 25 years and 12 years ago I sent my mom tickets and said, ‘If you ever want to come for Christmas-…’ [After months of visiting,] I said, ‘Hang on a minute are you trying to tell us something?’ She said, “Oh, I’m just trying to hang out.’ Now she’s been living with us for 12 years.”
The hilarious twist to their already-unconventional living arrangement is the fact that Jamie Foxx’s father, Darell, is dating! He even brings women back to the home his ex-wife lives in! Foxx said:
“Now that poses a problem…They live under the same roof and what’s crazy is that dad still dates, so she’ll go on his side of the house just to see who’s there. And she’ll say, ‘Oh, this is what we’re doing, is it?’ Then I’ll get a knock on the door from him telling me, ‘Can you tell her to stay on her side of the house? I’ve got company!’ I’ll say, ‘Now, parents…’ But it’s a weirdly fun household.”
We can only imagine what Thanksgiving dinner is like!
