Vanessa Bryant’s Brain Can’t Process Kobe & Gigi’s Death At The Same Time: I’m So Mad!

Vanessa Bryant is opening up, sharing her very raw feelings about the death of her husband, Kobe Bryant and daughter Gionna Bryant. For the first time since their tragic passing, Vanessa Bryant shares how she’s feeling and mourning. She writes:

I’ve been reluctant to put my feelings into words. My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone. I can’t process both at the same time. It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong. Why should I be able to wake up another day when my baby girl isn’t being able to have that opportunity?! I’m so mad. She had so much life to live. Then I realize I need to be strong and be here for my 3 daughters.

She continues,

Mad I’m not with Kobe and Gigi but thankful I’m here with Natalia, Bianka and Capri. I know what I’m feeling is normal. It’s part of the grieving process. I just wanted to share in case there’s anyone out there that’s experienced a loss like this. God I wish they were here and this nightmare would be over. Praying for all of the victims of this horrible tragedy. Please continue to pray for all.

As previously reported Kobe, Gianna and seven others died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on January 26th. They were headed to Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks for Gianna’s team’s game. No cause for the crash has been determined as preliminary reports by the National Transportation Safety Board is expected in the near future, according to reports.

Kobe’s widow, Vanessa Bryant has reportedly requested items countless fans to be cataloged and shipped to the family.

One ESPN host, Elle Duncan shared her tribute that immediately went viral. During her story, Duncan shared how the late basketball star cherished being a “girl dad”.

Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti confirmed that a memorial was being planned in honor of Kobe, as well as the eight other victims of the crash. He tells the LA Times,

“I think one message that I would say is this is not just about a man who was a basketball player, this is about a father, this is about a leader, this is about a filmmaker, this is about an artist, this is about somebody who was so much more than just how he was on the court.”

He adds,

“It’s a reminder how much unity we have, though. We are one city that believes in each other, believes in something bigger than ourselves and we will absolutely do everything to make sure that this is done so that everybody can come to it as well

The cause of the crash is still unknown, as the helicopter was not equipped with a black box.

The Lakers held a tribute to Kobe before playing against the Portland Trail Blazers at Staples Center on January 30th.
