Nipsey Hussle’s Alleged Shooter Attempts To Do An Interview From Jail [LISTEN]

The man accused of shooting and killing rapper and activist Nipsey Hussle appears to have tried to do his first interview from jail.

Real Whirl Podcast attempted to speak with Eric Holder, who is currently awaiting trial for charges that involve the fatal shooting of Nipsey Hussle. The interview was extremely short, but Eric Holder vowed to give Real Whirl Podcast a call after his trial.

His trial could be as early as mid-April and could last roughly two weeks according to New York Daily News.

A Judge Robert Perry told Eric Holder Wednesday (Feb. 19),

“Mr. Holder, as you know, this is an important case and a serious case. These cases take time to get ready for trial. You have the right to a speedy trial.

“Are you OK that we continue this case, and you come back on March 18 and we do our best to start your trial within 30 days. Are you OK with that?”

Eric Holder reportedly said,

“Yeah.”

He’s accused of shooting and killing Nipsey Hussle in the head and torso on March 31. Nipsey Hussle was outside of his Crenshaw clothing store, Marathon Clothing. He was pronounced dead later that evening.

Eric Holder was charged with a count of murder, two counts of attempted murder (for allegedly shooting bystanders) and two counts of assault with a firearm. He was also charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Deputy District Attorney John McKinney told the grand jury in a transcript that was released in June:

“Mr. Holder got out of the car, immediately walked up to the group where Mr. Hussle, or Mr. Asghedom was, and they had a conversation. That conversation is important because that conversation had something to do with Mr. Asghedom accusing Mr. Holder of snitching, which in the gang world is a very serious offense.”

Eric Holder is said to have allegedly gone back to his car and got two firearms, returning back to the store and shooting Nipsey Hussle and two others.
