Drake Calls Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex A “P*$$*”, Reigniting Their Beef
It looks like rapper Drake did a little more than enjoy the music and flirt with Rihanna during DJ Spade‘s Caribbean Instagram Live DJ set earlier this week. He seemingly reignited a years-long beef with Hot 97 DJ, Funkmaster Flex. Drizzy even kept the Caribbean theme, and dissed Flex in patois! In the IG Live’s comment section, Drake said:
“Funk flex guh weh p*ssy”

Funkmaster Flex, then, replied:
“Drake!!! Talking tuff!!! (U ain’t tuff n*gga)”
The hip-hop giants’ tension reportedly started in 2015, with Flex accusing the hitmaker of receiving assistance with writing his rhymes. This is still a taboo topic in hip-hop, as every MC is expected to write his own lyrics. Drake, then, subliminally dissed Funkmaster Flex during one of the songs from his Meek Mill battle – “Charged Up.” Instead of referring to Funkmaster Flex’s trademark bomb on-air sound effects, he attributed the bomb to DJ Clue, another legendary New York DJ.

After a series of traded insults – including Funkmaster Flex calling out Drake’s relationship with Jennifer Lopez – their beef was seemingly brought to an end by Meek Mill in 2018.
Is Drake ready to battle with Funkmaster Flex again?
