The NFL Announces Full 2020 Regular Season Schedule, First Kickoff In September

Are your ready for some football?

The National Football League announced its full 256-game slate for the 2020 season which is set to begin in September. On Thursday (May 7th), the league first unveiled their regular season kickoff on Sept. 10 with the defending Super Bowl champions, Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans.

With several old faces in new places around the league as the former New England Patriot, Tom Brady brings a jolt to Tampa Bay Bucs to prime time. In addition to the new faces in Tampa, Rob Gronkowski makes his return to the gridiron after a year-long dabble into professional wrestling reuniting with Brady in week 1 against Drew Brees and the tough New Orleans Saints.

With the ongoing coronavirus health crisis, there’s a very real possibility of an early-September start without spectators, according to reports.

Here are a few important dates to remember:

Thursday, September 10: Regular-season opener

Sunday, September 13: Regular-season kickoff weekend

Sunday, January 3: Final day of the regular season

Saturday, January 9: NFL playoffs begin

Sunday, February 7: Super Bowl LV (Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida)

Baltimore Raven running back Mark Ingram says the Ravens have their sights set high in 2020. He tells the NFL Network on Thursday,

“Anything less than a Super Bowl is a bust for us. That’s everybody’s goal. That’s our mindset on our team and our organization, I know it.”

The Ravens hold +800 odds (bet $100 to win $800) to win that 2020 title, per Caesars, trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs (+400) and tied with the San Francisco 49ers (+800).
