Summer Walker, known for her sultry-and-smooth vocals, hit the music scene in October 2018 with the release of her “Last Day of Summer” mixtape. The single “Girls Need Love” garnered much support from fans and went double platinum. She released a remix to the song with Drake and it charted at 37 on the Billboard 100 charts. The album also made history when Over It earned the largest streaming debut ever for a female R&B artist and she received the Best New Artist award at last year’s Soul Train Music Awards.
Summer Walker has also made headlines for her public sharing of her issues with social anxiety and more recently, her various conspiracy theories related to the coronavirus. In a recent Instagram post, the “Playing Games” singer said the COVID-19 virus was created to control the population:
“All I wanna know is if these mf’s cared about population control so much why they ain’t put a cap on having kids globally like China a long a** time ago. You can have 1 MAYBE 2 & das it and das law, dese ppl with these 8 children families simply would be prohibited. Instead of going welllll over the Georgia guidestones and deciding to say we’re f***ed so let’s just create a fake a** virus implement martial law and throw everyone into fema camps murdering by masses. NOW FORGET EVERYTHING I just said. I like about everything I have no clue what I’m talking about.”
