Meek Mill & Jay-Z’s Org To Provide Masks For Every Jail In The U.S.
Rappers, Meek Mill (born Robert Rihmeek Williams, age 33), and Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter, age 50), have done a lot to serve their respective communities using their voices and resources. The two who have previously come together to form a prison advocacy group, The Reform Alliance, along with other influential leaders in business government, entertainment, and sports to continue providing much-needed relief to the prison system, especially those stricken by the Coronavirus pandemic.
In the US alone, more than 16,000 inmates have been released from prison due to the progression of the Coronavirus.
Now, the prison advocacy group is partnering with the National Sheriff’s Association to deliver protective face gear to every jail in the country.
The announcement was made on Twitter early today, May 26, 2020.

The Reform Alliance representative states,
“We’re proud to partner with @NationalSheriff to make masks available to EVERY jail across the country that needs them. We’ve seen how fast #COVID19 can spread behind bars. Now, we can work even faster together to stop it — and save lives.”
Meek Mill has committed to good works since his release from prison in 2018. Last month, the rapper joined the #AllInChallenge and donated his dream car in an effort to raise money for relief from Coronavirus.
