Oprah On White Privilege: Whiteness Gives You An Advantage No Matter What, Gets Mixed Reactions
Media mogul Oprah Winfrey is facing criticism amid her trending comments on racism. In her new Apple TV+ series, “The Oprah Conversation,” she told actress Yvonne Orji‘s ex – former NFL player, Emmanuel Acho – that no matter their economic or social status, white people will always conserve a level of privilege simply because they’re white. Oprah said:
“No matter where they are on the rung or the ladder of success, they still have their Whiteness.”
