Spike Lee Reflects On Working With Chadwick Boseman, Says “Nobody Knew” About His Prognosis
Many are recounting memories made with real-life superhero Chadwick Boseman just days after his shocking passing.
Director, producer and screenwriter Spike Lee shared a photo of himself and Chadwick Boseman to his Instagram on Saturday (Aug. 29th) as they were on the set of Netflix’s Da 5 Bloods. The 63-year-old praised the strength of the late actor and wrote:
“Da Bloods Salute Mr. BOSEMAN As He finished his pivotal role As Stormin’ Norman. God Bless”
Chadwick Boseman’s team announced Friday (Aug. 28th) that he passed away after a four-year battle with colon cancer. He filmed some of his biggest projects during that time, including Da 5 Bloods.

A fan commented on Spike Lee’s post and seemed to reference Chadwick Boseman’s health condition and asked:
“How was it working on this film with him? Did you know?”
Spike replied, stating:
“Nobody Knew.”

Da 5 Bloods was one of Chadwick Boseman’s final works and told the story of four black war veterans who returned to Vietnam to look for their fallen squad leader and the gold he helped them hide. It was released on Netflix on June 12, 2020.
Condolences to Chadwick Boseman’s family, loved ones, and fans at this time.
