Is the epic blowup between “The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ veterans Kandi Burruss and Nene Leakes during the 12th season reunion still simmering?

The reunion aired back in May and was taped from the comfort of the cast members’ homes thanks to COVID-19.

Kandi Burruss said of her argument with Nene Leakes Friday (Sept. 11th),

It’s a reality show so you’re dealing with real people, real emotions. At that time, it was a very heated discussion, it was a lot of walking off.”

The two have certainly had their issues in the past and have been able to bounce back. But this time, Kandi Burruss said that she hasn’t spoken to Nene Leakes since then. In fact, she said she’s convinced Nene Leakes didn’t recognize her when the two were at the same restaurant recently.

“This is the funny thing. I have seen her, I don’t think she saw me. I saw her at a restaurant one day and walked right past her. She didn’t recognize me because I had the mask [on]… I wasn’t looking like myslef. I said ‘Hello’ but she was talking to somebody else so I guess she didn’t realize it was me and kept walking.”

Kandi said she wasn’t phased by the cold shoulder since the two weren’t “in a great place.”

Nene’s former friend Cynthia Bailey also said she’s been shooting the show for two months and hasn’t seen Nene yet.

“I can just tell you I haven’t filmed anything with her or seen her. That’s that. In terms of contract negotiations, it’s not unusual for people to still be negotiating their contract. We’ve been over here filming for about two months now but I’m just saying.”

She said whatever is going on between Nene and Bravo, she hopes they can work it out.

“It’s not super unusual. However, at the end of the day and I mean this, NeNe and I are where we are now, but for a long time she was a very, very good friend of mine who I loved very much and who I still have love for. I want her to do what is best for her. She was one of the OGs on the show. When you think of Real Housewives of Atlanta, you do think of NeNe. She’s great for the show. I hope they work it out, but that’s between her and the network.”

Nene previously said she hasn’t signed her contract because of issues Bravo has.
