Lil Yachty Tells Fans ‘Slow Down Kids’ After He’s Arrested For Driving Over 150 MPH
Rapper Lil Yachty has a message just after news spread that he was arrested for driving more than 150 mph in a Ferrari he was gifted with for his birthday.
He hopped on TikTok and shared a headline about his arrest and said:
“Well, we’ve come to this. Yeah, it happened. Not today, this was like two weeks ago, like a week ago. God forbid the mugshot comes out. Hopefully it doesn’t. Slow down kids.”

Unfortunately for Lil Yachty, whose real name is Miles McCollum, his mugshot was released.

He also took to Instagram Live to address the arrest.
“I’m innocent y’all, I’m so innocent… I’m good man. No more speed for me. I’m good…Technically there’s no proof I was going 155…I was in Ferraris so he had to go 155 to catch up to me but… that’s just what they said. There’s no proof… Yes the mugshot looks a little crazy. That’s because I was home, I wasn’t spposed to be out. A n***a didn’t have his hair braided. He was looking a little rough.”
According to reports, Lil Yachty was arrested after being pulled over by Georgia State Patrol troopers near University Avenue in Atlanta. The incident occurred on Sept. 21. He was behind the wheel of a white Ferrari and was booked at the Atlanta City Jail with charges of reckless driving and speeding.
