Jamie Foxx To Reprise Role of Electro In New ‘Spider-Man’ Film
Jamie Foxx’s Electro To Return To Upcoming Spider-Man 3 Film!
Musician and actor Jamie Foxx is set to light up the screen once again in his former role of Electro. The talented performer originated the film incarnation of Electro in the 2014 installment of the second Spider-Man film, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” The villainous Electro character made his debut back in 1964 and was previously an employee of an electric company. He was struck by lightning while in the process of working on a power line and became a human capacitor of electricity.
The upcoming third installment of the Spider-Man film franchise is slated to be released November 5, 2021, and it appears that Jamie Foxx‘s character won’t be the only one to return the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Reportedly, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, and Tony Revolori are all slated to reprise their respective former roles of Aunt May, Michelle “MJ” Jones, and Flash Thompson in the popular franchise’s latest film.
No specific details regarding the movie’s storyline have been released as of yet but it’s no wonder that Jamie Foxx has been tapped to come back to the Electro role. As a multi-faceted Oscar and Grammy award-winning actor, he is highly sought after and was most recently featured in the Netflix film “Project Power” alongside Emmy Award-winning actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Jamie‘s also made headlines recently for his new Netflix deal where he will star in a forthcoming comedy series entitled “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me” inspired by his daughter, Corrine Bishop. He’s also set to executive produce the show with his daughter, with whom he co-hosts the hit FOX TV show “Beat Shazam.”
