Update #1. Jay Electronica has taken to Twitter to react to his project leaking. In addition to thanking fans for all of the love, he also says that they are working to clear samples, so that it can be uploaded to Tidal.
Original Story: According to reports, Jay Electronica’s long-awaited album, “Act II: The Patents Of Nobility”, has leaked online.
The project was supposed to be released over a decade ago.
Last night (October 3rd), news about the project began to circulate, speculating that it would leak within the next 24 hours. Early today (October 4th), tracks began to make their rounds online. Reportedly, the leaked album is close to 60 minutes and includes features with Jay-Z, The Dream, Charlotte Gainsbourg and more.
Reportedly, a group of students bought the project for $9,000 (via an auction) so that his fans could listen to the unreleased music.

Jay Electronica first received widespread attention after the release of his debut mixtape, Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge), in 2007, and was signed to Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation in 2010. His debut studio album, A Written Testimony, was released in 2020 after years of speculation and delay.
