Amber Riley Says Trump Supporter Spit On Her Car: How Much Do You Guys Expect Black People To Take?
More and more reports of alleged racist incidents are happening involving Donald Trump supporters and the latest to share her personal account is actress/singer Amber Riley.
The former Glee star uploaded an Instagram story sharing her experience saying that she was halted in a parking lot by a man wearing a Trump hat as he was trying to walk by. Things reportedly went left after he began waving his hat at her. Amber claims that she motioned for the man to move out of her way and that’s when the singer stated that he spit on her car. Listen to her experience below.
In the same video, Amber shared that her friend, Grown-ish star Francia Raisa also had a recent experience with Trump supporters when she was reportedly boxed in on the 405 freeway in Los Angeles and almost crashed due to the supporters crowding her car and taunting her.
Amber confirmed that she was on the phone with Francia as she was going through that experience, saying
“I was on the phone with her, I saw this myself.”
The topic of Trump supporters has become more prevalent in recent news due to the president’s refusal to denounce white supremacists in the Sep. 29 presidential debate.
During the debate, moderator Chris Wallace asked Trump a very straight forward question on if he was willing to condemn white supremacists and militia groups.
“Are you willing, tonight, to condemn white supremacists and militia groups and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities as we saw in Kenosha and as we’ve seen in Portland?”
In part, Trump responded,
“Proud Boys, stand back, and stand by! But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s got to do something about Antifa and the left.”
His refusal to condemn or speak negatively of white supremacy took headlines by storm and Trump supporters began uploading videos and statements on social media claiming that they are “standing by” for further instructions from the president.
