Will.i.am Likens Donald Trump’s Popularity To Being In An ‘Abusive Relationship’: They Just Don’t Have The Courage To Get Out
It’s November 3rd, Election Day; and while Americans continue to push for voting in general, some are speaking out directly for their hopefuls, or in Will.i.am’s case, against president Donald Trump.
It’s no secret that many people have expressed their disdain toward the sitting president as a result of some not-so-popular statements and/or actions he’s made during his term.
In an interview with Good Morning Britain, when asked his thoughts about Donald Trump’s continued popularity, Will.i.am responded,
“Yeah, but that’s with any abusive relationship. There’s people that stick with their spouses and go through abuse because they don’t know how to leave. That doesn’t mean that they’re happy. They just don’t have the strength or the courage to get and out and change and switch it up and have faith in something else. That’s all they know.”
Will.i.am, one-third member of the supergroup Black Eyed Peas continued on with his strong perspective, likening Trump relationship with some Americans to abuse.

He said,
“And so for the past four years, people have settled, and just, um, took the embarrassment or just the ridiculous antics of how he behaves and how he divides and how he steers hate. And so another four years of that would be detrimental for the course of America, right? We’re in 2020 now, by 2024 the world is totally different.”
When asked what would happen if Trump won a 2nd term for presidency, Will.i.am (born William Adams) responded,
“That would be a terrible thing.”
Both Trump and Joe Biden continue to rally around the country, vying for the coveted spot of president. The two will go head to head as numbers begin to roll in Tuesday night, Nov. 3.
