Legendary Actor Louis Gossett, Jr. Tests Positive For COVID-19, Reportedly Left Hospital Out Of Fear
Louis Gossett, Jr. reportedly refused to stay at the hospital to get treated for COVID-19.
The iconic actor, 84, was so ill he couldn’t stand up, according to TMZ. While he was admitted to a hospital in Georgia, he only stayed for a couple of days before leaving.
He was reportedly put in an area with other patients battling the coronavirus and was afraid after multiple people died. He left the hospital Tuesday (Dec. 29th), despite staffers urging him to stay as his age puts him in a vulnerable position.
He is currently in quarantine with his son at home but said in a statement:
“Please wear masks, social distance, isolate, pray and listen within. We cannot survive without one another.”
His loved ones have asked fans, friends, and family to publicly share positive messages with the hashtag#LoveLettertToLou. See a few messages below:
Prayers for a speedy recovery!
