Lamar Odom’s Ex Liza Morales Says He Told Her He Was Marrying Khloe Kardashian Over Text: I Deserve More Than That

Lamar Odom’s former relationship with Liza Morales is back in the spotlight now that she’s joined the current season of VH1’s Basketball Wives.

She stopped by Wendy Williams Wednesday, March 17th, and shared the details of their relationship, breakup, and how she found out he had moved on with Khloe Kardashian.

She said of her and Lamar Odom’s children, Destiny, 23, and Lamar Odom, Jr., 19:

“The kids are older so it’s not that we need to co-parent. We don’t need to speak. The kids have their phones, they can speak to him whenever they want.”

Liza Morales and Lamar Odom were together off and on for a decade. They first met when they were 16. They tragically lost a child, son Jayden, in 2006, which Liza Morales has said marked the beginning of the end of their relationship.

She said after they split, he texted her and told her he was getting married to Khloe Kardashian in 2009.

“That was very difficult. Around that time I was dealing with depression and then I get a text message from him and the text message was like, ‘I’m getting married.’ I knew he was seeing her because they were all over the blogs and all over the websites. And obviously, I was devastated. We were not together but obviously, I deserve more than a text message.”

Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian only knew one another for a few weeks before tying the knot. She later filed for divorce in 2013 after Lamar battled drug abuse issues. He was also unfaithful during their marriage. The divorce was finalized in 2016.

Liza said Lamar and Khloe’s relationship, which played out on E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Khloe & Lamar, also thrust their children into the public eye.

“They were really young, really impressionable ages. That’s when social media was picking up and the pressure. That was a lot on the kids. My daughter was diagnosed with depression early on as a teenager. Just the pressure and constantly being out there and the paparazzi. A whole new life we didn’t ask for.”

She added,

“I just want him to get right. One in five people deal with mental health issues. I just want him to get right. I want him to get behind the action, not just the talk. And I want him to have a good relationship with his kids. I’ve always supported that.”

Most recently, Lamar was engaged to Sabrina Parr. The two had an ugly breakup, and Lamar has called her out for lying to him.
