O.J. Simpson Supports NFLer Deshaun Watson As He Faces Sexual Assault Claims + Alleged Victim Receiving Death Threats
O.J. Simpson has shared his thoughts on the accusations against NFL player Deshaun Watson, who has been sued by 22 women for sexual assault.
O.J. Simpson said in a video via Twitter recently,
“Now, I’m a big fan of Deshaun’s — the man always had a sterling reputation and I’m a guy that knows what accusations can do your reputation. I would hate not to see him play again and I know we got to let the system work itself out, but my prayers are with him.”

Meanwhile, one of his accusers, Ashley Solis, is reportedly getting death threats. Following her accusations, Deshaun Watson’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, filed a motion for a judge to order all of the victims to identify themselves. Lawyer Tony Buzbee said he doesn’t want this to happen because Solis has already received death threats since coming forward. Buzbee said the other women being identified could put them in harm’s way and at risk of receiving similar threats.
Still, Hardin got a win in court as one of the accusers’ identities will be revealed. She will have to refile her complaint under her real name, and not Jane Doe. U.S. District Court Judge Dedra Davis ruled that her accusations don’t meet the requirements for the protection of anonymity.
