Usher Talks Using “Ush Bucks” To Promote Las Vegas Residency After Being Accused Of Throwing The Fake Money At Strippers
Usher has been quiet lately, but his latest stint at a strip club caused the U Got It Bad singer to go viral.
Earlier this month, a Las Vegas stripper called out Usher for throwing fake money at dancers with his face on the bills.

The club’s owner, Peter Feinstein said in a statement, according to Review Journal,
“I thought it was a joke when I first heard about it. I guess part of his entourage came in with a briefcase full of these ‘Ushbucks’ and they were passing them around. Now I’m getting all these calls from all these different news outlets interested in what happened.”
He added that Usher vowed to come back in to “make things right” before his residency kicks off in July.
He continued,
“The $100 bills created a lot of excitement because they look so much like real bills. But this wouldn’t have created a problem, except some of our entertainers tried to cash them in at the cage where we make all of our transactions. That’s when the pedal hit the metal, so to speak.”
He also says Usher “left a lot of real money,” and “bought a lot of ‘Dance Dollars,’ which we do create and use in the club” and that he was welcome back any time.
The stripper later said that fans took her question and “ran with it” after she went viral with Usher.

Now, Usher is breaking his silence.
He said in an interview with Billboard that the fake money was used to promote his upcoming Las Vegas residency.
“The idea behind Usher Bucks was really as a way of promoting the residency. And since then, there has been more conversations, thus proving roads lead to Las Vegas. We’ve been working on the merchandise for the night and that was the start of it.”
He added,
“I have a really great team, behind the scenes and on the stage putting together the show, promoting the show, coming up with ideas of how to promote the show and market the merchandising. A lot of great detail and thought has gone into the experience. From the moment you walk into the Coliseum to the moment you leave the Coliseum we’re going to definitely make it an environment to enjoy, experience, and celebrate.”
