T.I. Appears To Reference Sexual Assault Allegations Against Him & Tiny Harris While At Church: I’m Sorry I Ain’t The Creep You Want Me To Be
Did T.I. really bring that up in The Lord’s house?
This past Sunday (May 23rd), Tameka “Tiny” Harris was honored by Atlanta’s New Calvary Mission Baptist Church as part of their Women’s Day celebration. However, while giving her acceptance speech, she invited T.I. and their daughter Heiress to join her–and T.I. ultimately took over. After exchanging standard pleasantries and reflecting on their life journeys, T.I. appeared to reference the sexual assault allegations that the couple has been facing all year.
As you may recall, T.I. and Tiny have been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting more than 30 people over the span of a 15 years. With various people making similar claims of being assaulted, the couple has been heavily embroiled in controversy all throughout 2021.
While up on the pulpit with his five-year-old daughter in hand, T.I. stated:
“Contrary to whatever you may pass by as you scroll on this fictitious universe that we all live in called social media, the real and the truth and the honesty of it all is that everybody is a culmination of their experiences. And I mean we are all a product of what we’ve been through. If we never had nothing but nonsense handed down to us, then when we see others we gon’ expect them to be about nonsense.”
He continued:
“See, I’m sorry [to] whoever needs to hear this–I don’t know who it is–I’m sorry that I ain’t the creep that you want me to be, but that ain’t what I was raised to be. And I don’t care how much you say, anything ain’t gon’ make it true for me, ya dig? I got God up there, ya understand?”
T.I. then proceeds to appeal to churchgoers and said,
“Imma keep it all the way a thousand with you, anybody [who] know[s] me man, you’re a judge of character. Look at my eyes–look at my eyes and you can see who I am.”
Just before wrapping up, the rapper confidently proclaims:
“I promise you, anything and everything you’ve ever seen me go through, me and mines have always made it to the other side bigger and better. This will be no different.”
This incident comes less than a week following T.I.‘s release of “What It’s Come To,” a song in which he directly denies the allegations against him and Tiny.
