Erica Mena Calls Safaree Out For Adding Stress & Complications To Her Pregnancy

The ongoing drama between the soon-to-be-divorced couple Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels seems to be far from over. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Erica Mena is claiming that Safaree seeking joint custody of their children is only being done

“in hopes of obtaining ‘good publicity’ and painting [Erica] as the instigator, while in actuality, [Erica’s] the only parent ensuring the parties’ children’s safety and acting in their best interest.”

Erica Mena adds that her estranged husband should be more concerned about her and their unborn child’s health instead of trying to put out the narrative that he’s a good dad in legal documents.

In addition to that Mena is claiming that Safaree has

“failed to be involved in her care or to visit her at the hospital during her most recent stay, where she remained overnight for many days related to her pregnancy.”

She also accused Safaree’s drama of being a part of the reason she’s recently been hospitalized.

The Love & Hip Hop couple were married for almost two years before Mena filed for divorce in May. They share a daughter together and Mena is currently pregnant with their second child.

As previously reported, Mena is reportedly seeking primary custody of their children, while Safaree wants joint legal custody. Reports also claim that Safaree doesn’t want to pay his soon-to-be-ex-wife alimony and wants the court to determine any potential child support. Other legal documents obtained by TMZ, claim that Safaree allegedly stated that the courts should step in and assure he’ll be allowed to witness the birth of his second child with Mena. Erica Mena seemingly took to her IG stories and responded to Safaree’s request.

She wrote:

“Here I go getting dragged in the media and none of y’all even know the real story. Let me be pregnant and get through this time in peace.”
