Angela Bassett Says The ‘Black Panther’ Sequel Currently Has 5 Different Versions Of The Script: I Don’t Know What It’s Going To Look Like At All
Many are itching to see how the Black Panther sequel will ultimately turn out–and that includes its stars!
Angela Bassett–who plays Ramonda, Queen of Wakanda–recently revealed that she is unaware of how the highly-anticipated film sequel’s plot will go. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Angela Bassett revealed:
“I don’t know what it’s going to look like at all. There have been about five incarnations of the script and I hear another one’s coming.”
She continued, stating the multitude of scripts are to explore different ways of working around Chadwick Boseman‘s 2020 passing:
“Of course, with our dear king [Chadwick Boseman] going on to glory, a lot of things had to be shifted and changed. So, thankfully, Ryan [Coogler] and Joe Robert Cole, they’re just such masterful storytellers that they’ve found a way into this world and hopefully it will be satisfying, I think, for the fans and it will be honorable of our Chad. We love our king.”
