Actress Jodie Turner-Smith Proposed To Her Husband Joshua Jackson On New Year’s Eve, He Reveals: She Was Quite Adamant

Jodie Turner-Smith knew what she wanted and went for it!

Her husband, actor Joshua Jackson, revealed that she was the one who proposed to him months before they tied the knot.

While on The Tonight Show Monday (July 19th), host Jimmy Fallon asked if he always knew he’d marry the Queen & Slim star.

Joshua Jackson replied,

“I knew the moment she asked me.”

He continued and said,

“She asked me, yeah, on New Year’s Eve. We were in Nicaragua. It was very beautiful, incredibly romantic. We were walking down the beach, and she asked me to marry her.”

As for whether the big moment was planned, the When They See Us actor explained,

“There was like a preamble. There was a lead-up to it. I did not know [about it beforehand], but she was quite adamant, and she was right. This is the best choice I ever made.”

He and Jodie Turner-Smith ultimately got married in 2019, roughly a year after romance rumors started. They then had their first child, daughter Janie, in April 2020.
