Chadwick Boseman Makes Debut In Final Marvel Role For ‘What If…?’

Chadwick Boseman has officially made his posthumous debut on Disney+’s What If…? as T’Challa.

As previously reported, the trailer for Chadwick Boseman‘s final Marvel role–T’Challa in What If…?–was released last month. What If…? is a new Disney+ series that explores alternate realities and plotlines within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the new series, T’Challa plays the role of Star-Lord–a role from Guardians of the Galaxy–rather than the Black Panther. There are various other Marvel crossovers and alternate realities explored in the series as well.

Yesterday (Wednesday, Aug. 18th), the second episode of What If…? premiered. Notably, the episode marks when Chadwick Boseman makes his first appearance in the animated series. The late actor voiced his character’s lines for the series just shortly before his untimely death last year.

Since the second episode aired, numerous social media users reacted to hearing Chadwick Boseman‘s voice once again. See how various Twitter users reacted to the episode down below.

While the second episode of What If…? marked Chadwick Boseman‘s first appearance in the series, he will be featured in three more season one episodes. Specifically, T’Challa will appear in episodes 5, 8, and 9 of the Disney+ series. The next episode featuring Chadwick Boseman‘s character will air on September 8th.
