Rick Ross Had Words To Say About Drake And Kanye’s Rumored Beef: It’s Genius! They’re Both Inspiring Each Other

It’s nothing new under the sun when rappers quarrel?  It’s no surprise that rappers Drake and Kanye West have always had differences, but industry friend and rapper Rick Ross chimed in on the resurfaced rumored feud.  Rick Ross had an interview on SiriusXM’s The Mike Muse Show.  When asked his thoughts on this rumored beef, he said:

“I love it.  I spoke with Drake last night.  I love it.  When we spoke, after we got off the phone he sent me a text and it was so powerful.  He said, Everything is unfolding.  I’m about to be as free as a bird.  He put the caption with the owl and I couldn’t do nothing but put ‘HAHAAAAAAA’.”

He continued,

  “To me, I understand the genius of both of these artists and I understand this is nothing personal to them.  This is two levels of creativity inspiring each other; because both of them are up right now thinking of the artwork, thinking of the credits, where do we place, or what color is this. To me, it only makes the game that much more genius, that much more valuable watching Kanye doing listening events in the Mercedes Benz stadium.  You know what that is for a black artist?”

He went on to explain,

“It wasn’t many years ago they wouldn’t even let a black man into those type of arenas and now just to present my LP, to some of my most valuable fans, we just going to listen.  I’m not going to say one word.  That’s why you gotta appreciate it.  I understand what Kanye and Drake are doing right now.  It’s genius.  They are both inspiring each other.”

When asked if he believes it’s an ‘iron sharpens iron’ situation, he said:

“Of course. Kanye posted Drake’s address on Instagram, but who didn’t have Drake’s address already? It’s the only $100 million dollar estate in Canada.  If you don’t understand what’s going on, you would’ve thought that was personal, it really wasn’t.”

His comments come after Drake reignited his alleged feud with Kanye West on Trippe Redd’s Betrayal. He raps, “Forty-five, forty-four, let it go.  Ye ain’t changing s*** for me.”

 West appeared to respond with a now-deleted screenshot on Instagram that shows him seemingly confronting Drake.  While it shows Pusha T was added to this thread, the verdict is still out about who else was a part of the conversation.

He also leaked Drake’s address (above), which Drake appeared to laugh off.
