Kendrick Lamar Registers Several New Songs W/ ASCAP, Fuels Album Speculation
Could Kendrick Lamar‘s next album be coming sooner rather than later?
Over the weekend, reports began circulating that Kendrick Lamar registered new music with ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers). As a result, people have begun speculating that the 34-year-old rapper may be preparing to release a new album in the near future.
DJ Akademiks shared that Kendrick Lamar registered new songs with ASCAP on Instagram this past Saturday (Sept. 4th)
From DJ Akademiks‘ uploads, fans can see the titles of Kendrick Lamar‘s newly-registered songs: “Fighter Thief in the Night,” “Fade to Black,” “Erika Kane,” “End of the Line,” “Empty,” “Driving Down the Darkness,” “Before the Hangman’s Noose,” “Of Paupers And Poets,” “Pale Horse Apocalypse,” “Comfortable,” “Believe,” “Director,” “and “Fell For You.”

Kendrick Lamar first ignited album speculation with a cryptic Instagram post last month. On Aug. 20th, Kendrick Lamar uploaded a photo of an electronic file titled “nu thoughts.” He captioned the image:
“oklama.com.”

Once fans visit the site, they can access a letter in which Kendrick Lamar reveals he’s producing his final album with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). However, he did not reveal when this album would drop.

Kendrick Lamar has not released an album since 2017’s DAMN. The album was widely regarded as a success, and it spawned hit songs like “HUMBLE.” and “LOYALTY.”
