Mally Mall Turns Himself In To Start 33-Month Prison Sentence For Allegedly Running Prostitution Ring
Former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star Mally Mall has turned himself in to serve a 33-month prison sentence. According to reports, Mally Mall, born Jamal Rashid, attempted to postpone his prison stay by claiming he found a large potentially cancerous mass on his thigh. However, according to legal documents, a judge ruled that Mally Mall failed to prove any true reason why his alleged health condition couldn’t be properly treated while he’s behind bars. The judge added that she wouldn’t
“entertain any further meritless delay tactics.”
Following the judge’s ruling, the 45-year-old music producer turned himself in to the Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Oregon. His release date is currently set for December 15, 2023. Mally Mall’s lawyer recently spoke on his legal troubles and said,
“Mally Mall over the last several years had dedicated his life to music and helping people. He has fully recognized the error in his ways and has gone out of his way to try to make amends. He intends to take full advantage of each and every program offered by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.”

As previously reported, earlier this summer Mally Mall was charged with running a prostitution business under the guise of an escort company and sentenced to 33 months behind bars by Las Vegas courts. The U.S. attorney Christopher Chiou spoke on the case and said,
“Rashid operated a high-end prostitution business that transported victims across the United States, using various paid websites… to advertise the victims for prostitution purposes.”
He continued:
“Rashid exploited hundreds of victims [through manipulation], encouraged victims to get tattoos of him to demonstrate their loyalty, and led many of them to believe he would advance their careers in show business.”
Mally Mall previously spoke on his charges and expressed his innocence while chatting with The Neighborhood Talk. He said,
“I had to take a plea deal to keep from doing 5-10 years for something I didn’t do.”
He added,
“I’m going to do the time because I’ll never snitch on nobody, but the things they’re saying about me aren’t true.
