Sunny Hostin Slams White House For Treatment Of Haitian Migrants: If You Can Bring 95,000 Afghans Here, Why Are You Sending Haitians Back To A Country That’s Been Devastated?
Sunny Hostin is not happy with how the U.S. is handling the Haitian migrant crisis.
As previously reported, disturbing footage of U.S. Border Patrol officers mishandling and abusing Haitian migrants attempting to cross the U.S. border in Texas for asylum surfaced earlier this week.
“This is why your country’s shit, because you use your women for this!” — mounted Border Patrol officer to Haitian migrant he was riding down, as he sheltered with his family.

Sunny Hostin called out the behavior on The View, pointing out that the White House has vowed to accept thousands of Aghan refugees while forcing Haitian migrants to leave.
“The United States and the White House has promised to bring 95,000 Afghans here. And I’m not saying they shouldn’t be brought here, because they should be. That is the promise of this country. But if you can bring 95,000 Afghans here, then why are you sending 86 Haitians back on an airplane to a country that has been devastated? It’s not about whether or not there’s a way, it’s not about whether there’s a pandemic.”
She continued,
“This policy started with the Trump administration. It’s called Title 42 and the Trump administration decided to ban migrants – refugees – from coming. So when people say ‘well get in line’, there is no line because of the Trump administration.”
She added,
“There has never been a line for Haitians. I take this personally because my husband is Haitian. I have been to Haiti plenty of times and it is a beautiful, beautiful country.”

She also referenced a recent earthquake in Haiti and added,
“And what other life-threatening fear can you have other than an earthquake, a coup, lack of food, lack of water? I mean, it fits the bill, and so I, you know, I’m so disappointed. So disappointed in the Biden administration today. So very disappointed.”
