Dave Chappelle Claims He ‘Beat The S**t’ Out Of A Lesbian For Trying To Punch Him + Calls Himself A TERF & Shades Trans Women In New Stand-up Special
Dave Chappelle‘s newest comedy special is now available for streaming, and the comedian is not holding back with his material.
Earlier today (Tuesday, Oct. 5th), Dave Chappelle‘s latest stand-up special–The Closer–was unveiled on Netflix. This is Dave Chappelle‘s sixth Netflix comedy special, and The Closer is referred to as “the sixth chapter” in its official trailer.
Once The Closer was available for streaming, many Dave Chappelle fans rushed to experience the comedy special. During the show, which was recorded back in August at The Fillmore in Detroit, Chappelle notably announced that it would be his “last special for a minute” and that The Closer would complete his Netflix “body of work.”
During his set, the 48-year-old comedian made a number of controversial remarks. At one point, he referred to the #MeToo movement as being “annoying as f**k.” Additionally, Chappelle shared a supposed account of when a lesbian allegedly threw a punch at him and, resultingly, the comedian beat her up. He stated:
“I’m glad TMZ didn’t believe that—because I did beat the s**t out of her, I’m not gonna lie. It was her fault. I had no choice.”
He later went on to proclaim that he’s a TERF, or a trans-exclusionary radical feminist–someone who doesn’t believe that trans women count as women. Chappelle proclaimed:
“I’m team TERF! Gender is a fact. Every human being in this room, every human being on Earth, had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on Earth. That is a fact. Now, I am not saying that to say trans women aren’t women, I am just saying that those p*ssies that they got… you know what I mean? I’m not saying it’s not p*ssy, but it’s Beyond P*ssy or Impossible P*ssy. It tastes like p*ssy, but that’s not quite what it is, is it? That’s not blood, that’s beet juice.”
Dave Chappelle then said he was done making jokes about the LGBTQ community, before adding:
“I’m done talking about it. All I ask of your community, with all humility: will you please stop punching down on my people.”
Specifically, Chappelle was referring to people in the LGBTQ community calling out Black men like him, DaBaby, and Kevin Hart for unapologetically making homophobic comments. Shortly after this point, the special ended.
