Kevin Hart Reacts To His Former Friend JT Jackson Being Cleared Of All Criminal Wrongdoing In Sex Tape Case: I’m Happy That Chapter Is Over
Can Kevin Hart and ex-pal JT Jackson put the past behind them and rekindle their friendship?
Four years ago, a video began circulating of comedian Kevin Hart having sex with an unknown woman in a Las Vegas hotel room. The person who leaked the video also released a message calling Kevin Hart a “liar and cheater” and revealing:
“Between the dates of August 17, 2017 – August 20, 2017 – the weekend of his pregnant wife’s birthday – Kevin Hart was recklessly partying with my friends and I. Drinking, doing drugs, and having sex with multiple women at the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan Hotel.”

Kevin Hart ultimately got the authorities involved to investigate the matter. It appears as though one of the comedian’s friends at the time–JT Jackson–was a prime suspect in the case, and Kevin Hart cut ties with him. JT Jackson was also hit with four charges relating to the situation: attempted extortion, attempted concealing and selling stolen property, unauthorized use of personal ID, and identity theft.

However, Kevin Hart recently revealed that the situation has finally been resolved. Yesterday morning (Wednesday, Oct. 28th), the 42-year-old comedian jumped on Instagram and stated:
“It’s no secret that my life has had its share of ups and downs. It definitely has. Not proud of the downs at all, but of course that’s life–things happen! It’s our job to adjust when they do. One of those things that I had to adjust from was the situation that involved a friend–Johnathan “JT” Jackson–when he was charged in the case. And JT Jackson has recently been found not guilty and those charges have been dropped against him.”
Kevin continued:
“I can finally speak on what I once couldn’t–I couldn’t do it ’cause of the legal process. It kind of put a fork in the road between he and I and that relationship was lost. But I’m glad that now not only can I finally speak on it, but I can say I’m happy that that chapter in my life is over. I’m happy that we’re able to put a period on that sentence, and I’m excited to get back to life as we once knew. I wanna get back to life as I once knew it and put that behind me and move on. This message is about moving on. It’s over–it’s over, and I’m happy that it’s over. Live, love, and laugh–it’s that simple.”

JT Jackson has not publicly commented on Kevin Hart‘s recent upload–though he did re-tweet another publication’s article on the matter. However, it’s worth noting that a month ago JT Jackson re-posted a photo of him with his attorney, captioned:
“ALL CHARGES DROPPED IN COURT YESTERDAY 9/29/2021. ALL PRAISE GOES TO GOD! Thank you @gluxlaw you fought for me like I was blood related and like a true champ. Thank you for believing in me from the beginning and rocking with a brotha.”
